She is from a small town by the name of Maurice, La. There she was raised in a loving and caring faith filled family with her mother (retired educator), father (retired oil field), and her two brothers (owners of TL Enterprises trucking company). After graduating from University of Texas Medical Branch (BS), Mrs. Lewis-Cook began her career in education. Her experiences include education administration, early childhood education, elementary education, and secondary education in public, private, charter, and alternative settings. She has also mentored and trained educators at the secondary level. During her career, Ashley Lewis-Cook graduated from the University of Houston—Clear Lake (MS) and completed 48 hours toward her MBA through Kaplan University. Mrs. Cook currently teaches PK-4. Ashley resides in Seabrook, Texas with her husband, Sgt. John L. Cook (educator/ coach/ behavior specialist) and her son Donald “Tre’” Broussard III. In her spare time she enjoys cooking authentic Cajun and Soul Food dishes. She also enjoys shopping, reading, watching movies with family, and attending her son’s sporting events.ver menos
