Contrite Hearts her first novel is set in Sydney in the eighties and helped her deal with the confused boundaries of that decade.
Redemption Towers her second published novel is set on Australia's Gold Coast in the nineties. At that time the Gold Coast was Australia's playground.
Recovering from breast cancer treatment and waiting to see if her teaching position would be given back WJ decided to use the time to write.
The naughty and colorful characters of Redemption Towers emerged and their eventual redemption after many unexpected detours empowered the author at her own vulnerable time.
It was with sadness that this book was finished. The characters and their lust for living were so much fun to create.ver menos
