Vivien Samson wrote Landsleit of Amersham and surrounding areas: A History of the Amersham Hebrew Congregation 1939-1945, and organised a reunion for the congregants. Daughter, Deborah, co-researched. Often the two are consulted on local Jewish history. Deborah Samson has completed an MA in writing from Lancaster University. Both believe in the importance of cultural documentation.
