He has always enjoyed searching for and reading about any species of snake, lizard or frog. This led to quite a few ‘non-official’ days off school, spent exploring anything pertaining to reptiles and frogs, also known as ‘herping’. At the age of four, Scott started keeping reptiles and frogs, and continues to do so today as part of the business Nature 4 You, which he and his wife Tyese conduct in Brisbane, Australia. Scott’s interest in herpetofauna is quite diverse. He has conducted wildlife surveys, relocated problem reptiles from residences, collected both live and dead specimens and gathered genetic material for various institutions and museums. He is active in field research and collection, acting as a consultant to the herpetological industry on wild and captive reptile and amphibian management and educating the general public through wildlife demonstrations. Scott has written a number of papers and articles on Australian ‘herps’ and looks forward to researching more of these incredible creatures in the future.ver menos
