As a boy Larry just loved clear nights he would look in wonderment at those pin points of light we call stars. And he wondered what is out there is there life out there.
The moon was a very special celestial body to look at it. Because it looked like there were oceans and continents on it’s surface. And Larry thought most assuredly that there were moon men sailing their boats on the oceans and seas of the moon. These were the things that inspired Larry.
So the Author then sought out books and magazines on the subject of space and space travel. Larry was also inspired by movies such as destination moon and the Forbidden planet. And there was star trek and the moon landings which caused Larry to be in utter awe of it. This made Larry want to travel to the starts in great earnest. But he was to find out that start distances were enormous that it made it prohibitive. But this didn’t stop him from dreaming about it. And his Quest to learn more and more about it was never ending.
He later on took a Astronomy course from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. This amassed for him a great knowledge. And he also subscribed to Astronomy magazine. And he also belonged to two space organizations the Planetary Society and the National Space Society of which he got a monthly magazine from both.
The Author decided since it was impossible to Physically travel to the starts. The only way to satisfy his desires was to mentally travel the stars. The only way to accomplish this was to write stories of men and women traveling to the stars.ver menos
