My only excuse is that I was in psychotherapy in 1970 at age 22 (courtesy of a family life where I only had a toe-hold on reality) and then got hooked and went into training in 1973. I hung around that wonderful, weird world until finally I opened my own practice in 1990 and I’m still there. These past forty years of experience naturally coloured how I see life, the unconscious world is more familiar to me than it would be for most people and many things we would take as mythical or fantasies are every so often part of my everyday life. Like the young client of who was a typical blue collar tow truck driver, except that he would get visits occasionally from his relatives, just after they had died in Portugal. Or the lady teacher I know who is also psychic and once gave me accurate information about two new clients I had not yet met (and she hadn’t either.) In any event, when I found myself thinking about Spirituality and what might be changing in our Religious expression I decided to gamble that maybe my experiences and conclusions were not so strange after all.ver menos
