She served as the child abuse coordinator of the team for ten of those years. As a full time team leader, she gained widespread experience in the detection, prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect while working with children and families. This resulted in her frequent appearances in court as a material and expert witness. She has lectured extensively on the subject and was a representative at conferences on child abuse and neglect both nationally and internationally.
Originally from Barbados, she completed her formal training in the United Kingdom graduating with a Diploma in child psychology and a Certificate and Diploma in social work from the University of Kingston-Upon- Thames. U.K.
Since working in the field of child abuse she has received many requests and enquiries on the subject. Her knowledge and experience in this field prompted her decision to author this Book.ver menos
