He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005, following his graduation from the University of Calabar a year earlier. He has practiced creative writing for over a decade and is a poet, playwright, short story writer, novelist, essayist and a freelance editor. He is the author of Midnight Angel which won First Runner-Up, Association of Nigerian Authors/Jacaranda Prize for Prose in 2010. Jesse has been recognized for his poetry too, picking up two NKA (University of Calabar) Poet-of-the-Year plaques in 1999 and 2000. Now living in Abuja where he is a Legislative Aide at the National Assembly, this is his maiden individual outing in verse.ver menos
