He has lived in Brooklyn for most of his life. Immigrated to the United States from the Caribbean island of Nassau, Bahamas with his parents' and three sisters at a very early age. Landing in the neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant, better known as BedStuy, living in a cramp two bedroom apartment. His parent's, now retired, were blue collared hardworking people. They were frugal in their spending and big on saving. So much so, they managed to purchase a house in the Flatlands neighborhood in the far-east of Brooklyn after only 7 years of arriving in the States. This is where Patrick and his three sisters lived til they all went off to college and ultimately off on they own.
Patrick graduated from Marine Park Junior High School, then went on to James Madison High School. He was a regular contributor to the school paper. Afterwards, he attended N.Y.U Stern Business School majoring in marketing and minoring in journalism. Graduated in 1997 Sum Cum Laude.
Patrick has been fascinated with the many people and things that made Brooklyn was it is today since he was a kid. He has traveled to every neighborhood in Brooklyn. He is a frequent visitor of the many cultural arts and institutional places in Brooklyn like the Bklyn. Public Library and Botanic Gardens. He has interviewed many interesting people, including Alan Rose, owner of Juniors' Restaurant (Known for their delicious cheesecake) and Bob Diamond who discovered the Atlantic Avenue tunnel now known as the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). This is Patrick's first self-published 5 part series book about the historical contents of Brooklyn which he firmly believes would enlightened readers about the people, places and things they probably didn't know about originated" Straight Out of Brooklyn".ver menos
