Mark has held the position of Chief Executive Office for the past 17 years. In 2005 Mark was appointed to the Northern Planning Advisory Committee (NPAC) for the Department of Environment and Heritage which developed a discussion paper on the future of the Gulf of Carpentaria and Eastern Arafura Sea. Mark was also appointed to the role of Treasurer of Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO) 2012 to 2014.Mark held the position of Central Queensland Branch Board member for LGMA Queensland from June 2016 until September 2018. He has also previously held a Board member position for the LGMA State Branch in Tasmania as well as a community radio station in Tasmania. Mark has also represented the LGMA Qld Branch in 2007 and 2019 through the international exchange between Queensland and California in the United States as well as Whangarei District Council in New Zealand. Mark has also acted as the Queensland Delegate for the LGMA National Congress and Annual General.In 2013 Mark received the LGMA Qld 2013 Manager of the Year - Leadership & Management Excellence Award and was the Australian Institute of Management Qld & NT Professional Manager of the year Sunshine Coast Regional winner.He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Governance and Public Policy. Mark has been involved in a range of community and professional organizations and is an active member of Rotary which included being the Charter President of the 2011 reformed Rotary Club of Gayndah. Mark was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary in 2014 for service to the community. In 2019 Mark was recognised in the Queen's Birthday honours with the Public Service Medal for services to the Community and Local Government.ver menos
