As a child, I would sit in the living room listening to my father and uncles discuss politics topics such as capitalism and socialism. At college I majored in physics and after graduation worked in designing nuclear power plants. During that time I took a leave of absences and served in the US Peace Corps in Swaziland, Africa. Upon return, I started writing letters to the editor for local newspapers. Eventually, my interest in political topics re-emerged and I served as campaign chairmen for a small town in upstate New York. In 2005, I started a new career, working for FEMA after hurricane Katrina. I've written two books, "How to Wind Local Elections" and this book "Democracy on the Edge".ver menos
