He established the fi...ver maisGhazi Rayan is a first-generation immigrant American, a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery, and practiced as an orthopedic upper extremity hand surgeon in Oklahoma City. He established the first hand surgery fellowship in Oklahoma. Ghazi devoted most of his professional career serving his community, providing remedial care to his patients along with offering scientific knowledge in the form of research and teaching to medical students, residents and fellows. He is past president of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the recipient of several honors and awards. Ghazi gave over 300, regional, national and inter-national scientific presentations. He is the author of nine academic books, and written over 40 book chapters and more than 200 scientific articles and editorials in peer-reviewed journals. He coauthored nonfiction titled Trilogy of Perseverance and Friendship in the Golden Years and his last nonfiction was Immigrants who Founded and Fostered an Early Nation (2021). Ghazi and his wife live in Oklahoma City and relish the company of their three grandchildren. He continues serving his community and devoted to biking, reading and writing.
