I met with poetry when I was seventeen years old, thanks to William Blake, Emily Dickinson, and Robert Frost. I read and analyze and slowly began to translate their poems into Turkish. In time, I discovered so many other poets that excited my attention about the world of poetry, most especially W. B. Yeats, Katherine Mansfield, Sara Teasdale, and Edgar Allan Poe. As I was also composing music during the time, poetry helped me perceive the music and create compositions more intensively and deeply. I wrote my first poem (Teardrops) in 2011; from then on, I continued writing poetry, both in Turkish and English. I recently am a comparative literature student in Bilgi University. I still write poetry and compose music, which I am going to do for the rest of my life.ver menos
