Born in the beautiful island of Jamaica, Dor Mae migrated to the United States at the age of 17. After enduring several challenging situations, such as emotional and physical abuse, homelessness, rejection, racism, and failed marriages, she decided to give her life to Christ and serve God with everything that is within her.
Dor Mae discovered her passion for writing at the tender age of 8. Her passion developed over the years and she took a leap of faith in 2007 to write her first book. Five more books were birthed thereafter which have blessed the lives of many across the globe. She also serves the people whom she is called to via radio, where she prays for and teaches the masses. Her prayer ministry serves others on a one to one basis where she offers hope and encouragement. She has served as a youth leader at her church, building, praying and teaching the youths how to trust God and live a life of prayer and the Word of God.
She was ordained as a chaplain in April 2019. She has helped the homeless, as well as, those who have struggled with sickness and disease. Dor Mae Forbes has spoken at several church events where she has brought relevant topics and themes to encourage people to grow and move out of complacency into a deeper walk with the Holy Spirit of the Living God. She has witnessed many lives healed and delivered and God gains all the glory. Dor Mae lives a productive and progressive life in New York City with her son.ver menos
