As the founders of China's “financial legality” theory, Prof. Yang Dong initialled the modern “market-based indirect finance” theory, and “crowdfunding finance” theory. He is one of the pioneers of China's Internet finance, mobile finance, crowdfunding finance legislation, specialising in financial consumer protection and internet antitrust. He is also the author of China's first crowdfunding finance textbook "The Third Wave of Internet Finance: The Rise of Crowdfunding" and the author of "Win in Crowdfunding: Actual Combat, Risk, Skills." He is the first Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education and is the member of the General Administration of Industry and Commerce of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law research group.
Professor Yang Dong is one of the scholars focused on blockchain technology in China. In 2015, in his best-selling book "Internet + Finance = Crowdfunding Finance", he is the first scholar to analyse blockchain application in the financial industry. In 2017, the book “Fintech Law: Blockchain Business Practice and Legal Guide” was published which focus on the practice and strategy of blockchain application in enterprise level.
Hui Gong holds multiple positions. He is the founder of the China-UK Blockchain Association and the leading researcher at UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies (CBT). Currently studying a PhD in Financial Mathematics at University College London (UCL) and previously working in University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a visiting scholar, he has extensive research experience in the blockchain, cryptocurrencies and high-frequency trading. Also, he specialises in derivatives pricing, risk management strategies, artificial intelligence and operational and procedural simplification in leading investment banks.
