Entered the Army in August of 1974 as a Private First Class. Was promoted to Specialists Five eight weeks after Basic Training under a special program, “STRIPES for SKILLS”. Entered the Branch Immaterial Officer Candidate School (OCS), at Fort Benning, Ga, in February of 1976. Commissioned a Signal Corp Second Lieutenant 4 April 1976. Retired from the Army after twenty-two years of combined military service on July 30, 1990 at the rank of Major.
Received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia in December 1980. Received a Master of Education Degree from Cambridge College, National Institute of Teaching Excellence, Boston Massachusetts in January 2005.ver menos
